I am a 41-year-old pet-free Christian woman looking for a house or apartment in need of a roommate, starting around Nov 1. I am looking anywhere in the area from Purcellville to Falls Church to Manassas to Woodbridge. I am very involved in Ultimate Frisbee in Loudoun and Fairfax, and I also travel a lot for Taekwondo and for work. I had a basement with a Christian family in Herndon for three years after the pandemic, but this last year I had two difficult experiences with places I found on Craigslist. After I finished that last lease, I have been taking a break with family in Missouri and am now looking for a better place with Christians back in northern Virginia.
My ideal spot would have a maximum rent of $850, including utilities. I have everything I need in a storage unit at the moment, so unfurnished is better, but a temporary furnished sublet would be fine too. Of course I would prefer a private bathroom, but at my budget that may not be possible. I am a pretty balanced extra-introvert, so I can either talk to you or leave you alone, as long as I know we are peaceful and respectful with each other.
I was a full-time personal trainer for 6 years until the pandemic, and now I do audit work for several companies as an independent contractor. I am able to do this work wherever I am in the country, and I will often be out for a couple days as I drive a few hours away in the area to complete some more valuable tasks. I would also want the freedom to rest at home for a day if necessary.
I would need either kitchen use or the ability to set up my little appliances to make a kitchenette in whatever space I have. In a typical week, this would mean my small slow cooker doing its thing on the counter or short use of the top oven range. I haven’t had oven use for a few years, but if I did I would probably bake things on occasion.
